For a store this size, I wish they had a better selection in general. I don't know if it's just me, but so many things that I like, never seem to be on the shelves here. Plus, the deli is very hit or miss. Besides the fact that you will be standing in line for about 45 mins on a Sat, two weeks in a row they screwed up. my order and gave me regular Lebanon bologna, when I had asked for SWEET. Even the label said sweet, but sure enough it wasn't. If you like Lebanon bologna, and have had both flavors, you know that there is a huge difference. Sorry, but I don't have time during the week to trek on over, and exchange it. So it winds up in the garbage. Sad. I'll be tasting it from now on before I leave.
Love this store. But today, Christmas Eve, I purchased the Old Bay shrimp....sorry Ravitz...very disappointing. I buy this often and I know shrimp. When you overcook shrimp they get tough. Today's shrimp was gooey. I would bet these were frozen shrimp, thawed, then steamed which made them gooey. Not just gooey but the size was off too. Much smaller than usual. Of all days to get disappointing shrimp. Not your usual fare.
Great produce and butcher. Also way more affordable than some of the other spots in town.
This grocer is large and very up-to-date. You can find almost everything here, well almost. That being said, I’m going out of my way to avoid this place now given most items I can find elsewhere cheaper and hassle free. Things they never fix after you tell them are: 1) tripping over displays blocking isles 2) items not easy to find because stock is split for sale locations. 3) common items frequently out of stock 4) higher costs for many food items than other nearby grocers such as Target, Walmart and Trader Joes 5) horrible music making bringing personal headphones a requirement. All these things I’ve talked to managers about, because I know they can easily improve these things.
Overall, the store is neat & clean. I was very disappointed by their produce department. Selection was not what I expected from a store in this area. The baked goods area was, in a word, eclectic. Oddities (to me, at least) abound while staples like cream filled donuts were missing.
