Shanghai Express is in the Meeting House Square shopping center in Marlton. Parking was abundant on a Saturday evening, which may not be the busiest time here. I tried the General Tso's Chicken combination and I thought it was done pretty well. Certainly above average for South Jersey. I'd have to note that some of their dishes may not be in the typical Chinese takeout style that is prevalent in the area, but be adventurous and you may find something you like. Service is excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful with suggestions. Overall, the restaurant looks clean and well-maintained too.
Great food and the owner is very nice. The only issue I have is that the cooks need to follow order instructions. I received the wrong thing 3 times. The owner fixed it though. The best food in the area I've tasted.
The owner Teddy is so welcoming. He knows all his customers by name. The food is awesome. The best General's chicken I ever had. From the soup to egg rolls to your dinner, everything is made fresh and delicious. Service is great. It's a family affair with his wife waitressing. The menu is large and they will gladly accommodate any special requests. Most of their business is repeat customers who come for the good food and to be warmly greated by Teddy. They do deliver lunch and dinner. You won't disappointed!

One of the great ones. Shanghai Express serves excellent food with a friendly and inviting atmosphere. The owner Ted is almost always there to greet you and takes a genuine interest in the customer and makes you feel like you belong there. Go out of your way to try this place, tell him the tent guy sent you!
